Achilles tendinopathy refers to a range of conditions that affect the Achilles Tendon. There are two main types: insertional and non-insertional Achilles Tendinopathy. Insertional tendinopathy affects the area where the tension attaches to the heel bone, while non-insertional tendinopathy occurs in the middle portion of the tendon. Both types can cause pain, swelling and stiffness.

It's important to note that both types of Achilles tendinopathy can be managed through various treatment approaches, such as rest, physical therapy, stretching exercises, orthotics and, in some cases, surgery. If you suspect you have Achilles tendinopathy, it's best on consult with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan.
