Experience:
Bas holds a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine from Western Sydney University, Australia, and brings a wide range of experience across private practice, hospital high-risk foot settings, and as an orthotic lab designer. Bas specialises in custom 3D orthotics and is passionate about biomechanical management and exercise rehabilitation, with additional expertise in diabetic assessments and complex wound care. Bas holds CORU recognition, Australian Podiatry accreditation (AHPRA), and a Level 1 Strength and Conditioning certification (IUSCA).

Approach:
Baz brings a thorough approach to patient care. Baz is very approachable and give 100% to all his work- ensuring the patient is the centre of all care. He is one of our Senior Podiatrists and works in our Priory Foot Clinic and The Merrion Foot Clinic.
Special interests:
Diabetic Ulcer & Wound Care – Cleansing and dressing wounds.
Routine care – cutting and filing of nails, debriding callus, and enucleating corns.
Biomechanical assessments & gait analysis.
Nail Surgery – PNA’s and TNAs with local anesthetic.
Vascular assessments – Doppler, ABPI’s and TBPI’s.
Neurological assessments – Sensation assessment and muscle strength assessments.
Paediatric assessments.
Diabetic routine care and assessments.
Outside of work:
You’ll often find Bas exploring Ireland on the weekends, cycling or supporting his beloved Aussie rugby team.
